Keep photographs, negatives, and film away from sources of heat, humidity and direct sunlight. Avoid using paper clips or rubber bands for long-term storage. For long term storage: Use acid-free boxes, folders, index cards and envelopes.

| Arrange materials by categories, date or events. Write gently on the back of photos using a pencil, you can also use an acid free label or index card to help categorize photos. |
